Beginners Guide to EDC!
The Electric Daisy Carnival is this weekend and here is your Beginners Guide to survive this weekend!
OUTFIT PREPARATION
The most essential part of any festival is of course all the outfits and accessories! You gotta look and feel the best to enjoy the festival to the max! Our recommendation is laying out the outfits and making sure you have all accessories ready, and if you are missing anything.. Las Vegas has multiple Rave Shop pop ups happening all week!
Getting to the Festival
I gotta be honest when it comes to traffic in Las Vegas.. It is pretty brutal. If you need a ride to EDC I highly recommend getting on the EDC Shuttles. The shuttles take you directly to the festival and drop you off right at the entrance! Plus you get to make all sorts of new friends on the ride there!
Staying Safe
Whether you are going to the festival with a big or small group always remember to stay hydrated! Las Vegas is a desert and it can get pretty hot! My recommendation is wear a hydration backpack and take advantage of the FREE water refill spots all throughout the festival. I also suggest following EDC on Instagram as they post lots of information leading up to the festival from the festival map to set times all is there! And of course most importantly dont take all your drugs at once and wear comfortable shoes because you WILL be getting your steps in!
Tips for the Festival
- Explore the festival! Dont just stay at one stage. EDC has a lot to offer from Kandi making stations to Downtown EDC where you can be impulsive and marry your best friend! Get your moneys worth and explore the festival in its entirety!
- If you are in GA prepare to use the porta potties.. I suggest bringing some sort of baby wipes to stay super sanitary!
- Wear comfortable shoes! You will be walking from stage to stage and waiting for sets to start so spread out your weekend with the shoes you will be wearing!
- Plan your set times! Look at the line up and decide as a group who you will be seeing and plan to be there 2-3 sets beforehand because it will get packed!
- Bring earplugs! Always protect your hearing! Even if you are all the way in the back of the stage.. Your hearing will get damaged! Dont be silly and just get some earplugs to protect your hearing!
- Always stay PLUR! (Peace, Love Unity and Respect) Respect those around you and always look out for your fellow ravers!
